Meghalaya board results, St Anthony�s shines

SHILLONG, May 7 � St Anthony�s Higher Secondary School (SAHSS), Shillong secured nine out of the top ten positions in the Science stream and five out of the top ten in Commerce stream respectively in the XIIth Board exams conducted by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE), results of which were declared here today.

Naved Nagi and Priyanka Surana bagged the top positions in the Science and Commerce streams respectively.

Ten students of SAHSS held positions from the first to sixth in the Science stream. The seventh and ninth positions were jointly held by students from SAHSS with students from other schools. The tenth position was secured by Hamekisan Nongkynrih from Ramakrishna Higher Secondary School, Cheerapunjee.

The pass percentage in Science stream was 75.68. Female candidates outshone their male counterparts in the overall pass percentage in the regular category.

In the Commerce stream, the pass percentage was 72. 32. As in the Science stream, female candidates fared better in the Commerce examination too.
