TURA, Dec 25 - Kharkhuta in North Garo Hills celebrated it�s 3rd annual Megaru festival recently.
The festival was organised by Dokaku Socio-cultural Club in collaboration with the block office of Kharkhuta and saw Wangala troupes perform. Indigenous games were also a part of the events.
The local MLA, Cherak W Momin provided two ambulances to the people under SRWP scheme during the festival. Seed money under Livestock Mission of the State, was provided to about 30 beneficiaries. A total of 2,000 beneficiaries will be provided the assistance to set up piggeries.
