Meeting on public grievance monitoring system held

GUWAHATI, July 6 - A review meeting of the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) was held today in the conference room of Minister of Pension and Public Grievances Phani Bhusan Choudhury.

The review meeting was attended by nodal officers and other officials looking after public grievances of various departments.

The Commissioner and Secretary of the PPG department along with other senior officials were present in the meeting. The Minister reviewed the grievances pending as well as disposal position, department-wise.

Departments such as the Chief Minister�s Secretariat, Finance, Labour and Employment have shown good disposal rate. The Minister urged all the departments to give high priority while attending to public grievances as this will enhance the credibility of the government and at the same time help the needy people get justice on time.

He also directed the PPG department to write to all the departments so that wherever nodal officers are transferred or retired, new nodal officers are notified immediately.
