GUWAHATI, Sept 4 - A meeting was held at the local head office of State Bank of India here today in connection with the �Apon Ghar� scheme meant for permanent employees of the Government of Assam.
The meeting was addressed by PVSLN Murty, Chief General Manager, SBI NE Circle and Sadou Asom Karmachari Parishad president Basab Chandra Kalita and general secretary Nagen Das. Om Prakash Mishra, General Manager, SBI NE Circle and other senior office-bearers of the Karmachari Parishad and bank officials were present at the meeting.
The meeting discussed the progress of the �Apon Ghar� and �Bidyalaxmi� schemes. The bank officials took queries from the functionaries of SAK from different districts of Assam so that they can help in the implementation of �Apon Ghar� (housing loan) scheme and �Bidyalaxmi� (higher education loan) scheme in their respective districts.
The SAKP members also gave suggestions for better implementation of the scheme.
