GUWAHATI, July 5 - The Assam Autism Foundation has launched the Autism Teen Social Club, whose first meeting was held recently. Autism students from different schools participated along with their parents.
Students of the psychology department of Royal Global University and Ragini Singh, teacher of education leadership and teaching were active participants along with teachers of Assam Autism Foundation.
The objective of the meeting was to develop communication skills and social integration.
The training was imparted by Dr Shabina Ahmed, who is trained in social skills development for autism. In her speech she said such programmes would help in smooth transitioning of autism teens.
