JALUKBARI, Jan 9 - The Institutional Biotech Hub, Department of Biotechnology, Gauhati University in collaboration with the Institute of Advanced Studies in Science and Technology (IASST), University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya (USTM), Institutional Biotech Hub of IIT Guwahati (IBH-IITG) and North East Biotechnological Association (NEBA) is organising the first ever north-eastern regional conference and exhibition on promotion and protection of traditional health care remedy, from March 24 to 26 at Gauhati University.
The main objective of the conference-cum-exhibition is to bring all scientists, researchers, conservationists and traditional medicinal practitioners of NE India on one platform. The platform will be an opportunity for the researchers to effectively interact with folk healers. Presentations on work carried out in context of traditional medicine and allied areas will be held, which is envisaged to pave out the roadmap for future conservation of such practices and research arising out of such sources of medicines.
Faculties, scientists, health practitioners, PhD scholars, M Phil/ PG/UG students and others involved in research and interested in the areas concerned are highly encouraged to participate in the conference.
