GUWAHATI, April 3 - A symposium on �Next G Communication: Are we ready?� was organised on April 1 by the electronics & communication engineering department of the School of Technology of Assam Don Bosco University in their Azara campus, stated a press release here today.

Students pursuing various courses in electronics and communication engineering at ADBU and the Gauhati University participated in the event. Among the prominent speakers were Prof Ratnajit Bhattacharyya from IIT Guwahati, Dr Bidisha Dasgupta from IIIT Guwahati and Nabakishore Singha, head, RF, Vodafone, Assam and North East.

The symposium was organised with the objective of making students aware of the possibilities with the advent of 5G mobile communication and how they need to prepare themselves to be a part of the technically qualified human resource that will be required for future communication systems.

An interactive session was held after the symposium where experts shared their views and opinions.
