Meet held with religious heads at Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, April 6 - DDMA and Circle Officer, Kokrajhar today organised a meeting with religious heads of various institutions here at HS playground.

The meeting was chaired by Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner Partha P Majumdar. Superintendent of Police, Kokrajhar also attended the meeting along with other top civil and police officials.

The main aim of the meeting was to ensure that there was no social gathering at different religious institutions during prayer hours and only three members should be allowed at different religious places by maintaining social distance of one metre.

In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, Circle Officer, traffic police officials of Kokrajhar also appealed to maintain all the instructions framed by the Government during lockdown period.

Meanwhile, a joint coordination meeting with NGOs and CBOs was also held today at the same venue.

The meeting was organised by DDMA, Kokrajhar and was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar.

The objective of the meeting was to make people aware of maintaining social distance while providing essential items to the needy with the help of Revenue Circle Officers and police officials of concerned areas.

The Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, who is also the Returning Officer of five BTC constituencies of Kokrajhar civil subdivision, also instructed all to strictly follow the Model Code of Conduct in the area.

The meeting was also attended by members of different NGOs and CBOs including officials like ADCs, SP and Addl SP of Kokrajhar.
