GUWAHATI, July 14 - The Tax Bar Association, Guwahati, held its eighth study circle meeting for the year 2018-19 here on Saturday on the topic, �Union Budget, 2019�.
In the meeting, chartered accountant Sunil Sharma spoke on direct tax proposals in the Union Budget, while another chartered accountant, Raginee Goyal, spoke on indirect tax proposals. They also answered queries from the participants.
A large number of chartered accountants, company secretaries, cost accountants, advocates and tax consultants from all over the State attended the meeting.
Chartered accountant Gopal Singhania, president of the association, stated that many changes in the income tax and GST laws have been proposed in the Union Budget, 2019, which need to be discussed properly to avoid any confusion among the taxpayers, consultants and auditors.
