AALO, April 29 - Various issues pertaining to traffic congestion, parking problems, identification of bus terminals, road works and drainage system among others were discussed by senior officials of the district administration, police and market at a meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of West Siang Deputy Commissioner Swetika Sachan at her office here in Arunachal Pradesh, stated a press release.
The meeting decided that timing of heavy commercial vehicles to get into crowded places will be regulated in the morning and afternoon to end traffic congestion. Other passenger vehicles, plying on daily basis, can sell tickets anywhere but such vehicles will need to come at the State Transport Corporation station where location has been earmarked for them. One autorickshaw stand will be worked out to take all passengers from there to different locations.
The DC disclosed that the company entrusted to carry out double-laning of the Potin Pangin road will resume work from August.
