GUWAHATI, Sept 30: The Sadau Asom Sangbadkarmi Sanstha staged a demonstration here today in support of various demands, including a special financial assistance scheme for the media industry and waiver of tax on newsprint.
The agitators also asked the government to release the amounts due for DIPR and DAVP advertisements along with other government advertisements.
The organisation also demanded pension for both journalist and non-journalist employees of every media house along with other facilities.
