GUWAHATI, Dec 27 - The Harendra Nath Baruah Memorial Media Football Championship of the 7th North-East Media Sports Festival will begin at the Sports Authority of India Sports Complex here on Monday.

Pratidin Time will face Dispur Press Club at 11 am in the inaugural match while the second match will be played between Gana Adhikar and Assam Talks. Amar Axom will face Agaradoot in the third match while Prag News and Janasadharan will clash in the fourth match. The Telegraph will take on News Live while in the sixth match of the day The Assam Tribune will face G-Plus. In the last match of the day, DY365 will play News30.

On the other hand, the chess championship of the 7th North-East Sports Festival will be held at the Gauhati Town Club premises tomorrow.

The media sports festival has been sponsored by Oil India Limited, NRL, ONGC, SBI, Surya Gold Cement, Topcem Cement, Intex, LICI and Airtel.
