GUWAHATI, March 25 � The State TB Cell, Assam, in association with Guwahati Press Club, has invited proposals for two media fellowships on tuberculosis (TB) from mid-career journalists of the State for a period of two months (April and May 2015).
Each selected journalist will be given Rs 20,000 as stipend for the entire period. The fellows should study and publish at least four articles in any popular daily or periodical of Assam with the objective of spreading awareness on tuberculosis, incorporating various government-sponsored facilities, including free diagnosis and treatment under the Revised�National�TB Control Programme.
The last date of submission of proposals to the office of the Guwahati Press Club, Ambari, is March 26. The application should contain a brief bio-data with a passport size photograph and a short note (around 500 words) expressing the journalist�s interest in the fellowship programme.
