GUWAHATI, Jan 5 - The results of the Regional Mathematics Olympiad (RMO) held on December 20, 2015 were declared on the Assam Academy of Mathematics (AAM) website on December 29 last year, the copies of which are also available with the coordinators of all RMO centres, a press release stated. Apart from exceptional cases, the RMO was held basically among the rank holders of Mathletics and Mathematics Olympiad organised by the AAM in 2015 to fulfil the eligibility criteria for appearing in the Indian National Mathematics Olympiad (INMO), to be held on January 17, 2016.
There will be two INMO examination centres at Guwahati and Shillong for RMO rank holders from Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram. The venue for the INMO at Guwahati is Guwahati Public College, GNB Road, Ambari. Considering the advanced time zone for North East India, the examination will start from 12 noon and continue up to 1 pm. The candidates have been requested to report in the examination hall by 11.30 am, the release added.
