Maths Olympiad, 2015 results

GUWAHATI, Dec 6 - The results of the Mathematics Olympiad, conducted by the Assam Academy of Mathematics (AAM), which was held on September 13, 2015 in 46 centres throughout the State, were declared on December 2 on the AAM website. Altogether 2,334 candidates of the State participated in the competition under four categories: classes V to VI, classes VII to VIII, classes IX to X and classes XI to XII.

Top five rank holders in order of marks in each category were selected for various AAM prizes, which will be presented on December 21 at the Phanidhar Dutta Auditorium of the Gauhati University here.

Candidates in each category were also selected for award of certificates of merit and certificates of appreciation, subject to performance based on cut-off marks fixed by the AAM Talent Search Committee. These certificates will be sent to the respective centre coordinators for distribution among the recipients. All rank holders, recipients of certificates of merit and appreciation in categories III and IV of both the Mathematics Olympiad and Mathletics 2015 are eligible to appear in the Regional Mathematics Olympiad to be held on December 20 in four centres namely, Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Tezpur and Silchar.

The AAM, in a press release, has congratulated all winners of the awards and certificates in the Mathematics Olympiad and Mathletics and thanked all involved in the conduct of these competitions.
