GUWAHATI, Jan 11 - The Home Department today effected a major reshuffle in the police machinery, transferring as many as 22 district superintendents of police.
Karbi Anglong SP VSP Ganjala has been promoted and transferred as DIG (Eastern Range). Sonitpur SP PP Singh has been promoted and transferred as DIG (Security). Commandant of 26 AP (IR) Bn Satyaraj Hazarika has been promoted and transferred as DIG (BTAD). BIEO SP Shyamal Prasad Saikia has been promoted as DIG (Home Guards and Civil Defence).
Principal of PTC Dergaon Mainul Islam Mandal has been promoted and transferred as DIG (Vigilance and Anti-corruption). Commandant of BTC Dergaon Abu Sufian has been promoted and transferred as DIG (Railways). Commandant of 3rd APTF Bn Ainul Haque has been promoted and transferred as DIG (Law and Order). DIG (SR) Debaraj Upadhyay has been transferred as Joint Commissioner of Police (Guwahati) in place of Diganta Barah who has been posted as DIG (Admin). DIG (Admin) Akhilesh Kumar Singh has been posted as DIG (CWR), while DIG (Security) PK Dutta has been posted as DIG (SR). Nalbari ASP (Hq) Dr Robin Kumar has been posted as Barpeta SP in place of Violet Baruah who has been posted as Commandant of 9th AP Bn.
Cachar ASP (Hq) VVR Reddy has been transferred as Commandant of 26 AP (IR) Bn. Morigaon ASP (Hq) Aparna N has been transferred as SP, SB (Security) in place of Subashini Sankaran who will be the new Dibrugarh SP. Dibrugarh SP Gautam Bora has been transferred as Commandant of 10th AP Bn in place of YT Gyatso who has been transferred as Commandant of 12 AP Bn. Dima Hasao ASP (Hq) Pushraj Singh has been posted as Golaghat SP in place of Manabendra Dev Ray who has been transferred to Karimganj. Karimganj SP Gaurav Upadhyay has been transferred to Karbi Anglong, while ASP (Hq) Gaurav Abhijit Dilip has been posted as SP, SB (G) in place of TP Vijaykumar who has been posted as Baksa SP in place of Binoy Kalita who has been transferred as Commandant of 3 APTF Bn. Jayant Singh will be the new DCP (Crime) in city in place of Luish Aind who has been promoted as DIG (NER).
Lakhimpur SP Sudhakar Singh has been transferred to Chirang in place of Yuvraj Singh who has been shifted to Dhubri. Dhubri SP Longnit Terang has been shifted to Udalguri in place of Rajveer Singh who has been posted as BIEO SP.
Tinsukia SP Mugdhajyoti Mahanta has been shifted to Cachar in place of Rakesh Roshan who has been posted to Biswanath. Biswanath SP Diganta Choudhury has been posted as Commandant of 4 APTF. Sivasagar SP Subodh Kumar Sonowal has been shifted to Bongaigaon in place of Hridayjit Barman who has been posted to BIEO.

Anand Mishra has been posted as Charaideo SP, while Dima Hasao SP Prasanta Saikia will be the new DCP (Traffic) in city in place of Amanjeet Kaur who has been posted as Nalbari SP. Nalbari SP Siladitya Chetia has been shifted to Tinsukia, while Kumar Sanjit Krishna has been posted as Sonitpur SP. Darrang SP Shreejit T has been shifted to Dima Hasao.
Goalpara SP Amitava Sinha has been posted as Sivasagar SP, while Sushanta Biswa Sarma will be the new Goalpara SP. Kangkanjyoti Saikia has been posted as South Salmara SP in place of Amrit Bhuyan who has been posted as SP of Darrang. DCP (Operations) in city Harekrishna Nath has been transferred as Lakhimpur SP.
