GUWAHATI, OCT 23 � The Excise department carried out a massive drive against sale of illicit liquor in Azara area and arrested eight persons including two women.
The arrested persons were indulging in sale of liquor in various localities under Azara circle.
The places where raids were conducted were Keotpara, Borbori, VIP Road, Kahikuchi, Dharapur, Patgaon and Rani Gate, among others.
The Borjhar-based sleuths of the Excise department also managed to recovered illicit liquor over 200 litres.
