By Sobhapati Samom

IMPHAL, April 29 MC Mary Kom, Indias first women boxer to have won four world titles consecutively, would be featured along with 24 athletes from around the world in BBCs forthcoming multi-platform project across TV, radio and online, entitled World Olympic Dreams.

A BBC team will be arriving here shortly for shooting the documentary, K Onkholer Kom, husband of the world champion boxer, said on the sidelines of the launch of his wifes website www.mar ykom.com at their residence in Imphal here today.

According to Onkholer, one more Indian athlete has also been listed in the BBC programme. The Padma Shree awardee boxer Mary Kom is currently attending a national boxing coaching in Bhopal.

The BBCs worldwide reporting network will begin to track 25 athletes drawn from across all five continents and competing in 20 different Olympic sports from July 27 onwards, as they strive to turn their dream for Olympic success in London into reality, the leading news organisation said in a release recently.

Those featured include prominent athletes such as Sir Matthew Pinsent, four-time Olympic gold medallist, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt, Kosovan Judoka Majlinda Kelmendi, Afghani Taekwondo fighter Rohullah Nikpai, Iraqi rowers Hussein Hamza and Nozad Haider, British NBA star Luol Deng among others.

Viewers will be given an insight into each of the athletes unique stories and different circumstances surrounding the players.

Earlier, speaking to reporters, Mary Koms husband Onkholer added, I hope this new website will help her (Mary) to communicate with her fans in a

better way.

Mary, a mother of twins, is one of the countrys biggest hope for an Olympic gold medal and is presently preparing for the forthcoming Asian Games in Kazakhstan in November and World Women Boxing meet.
