GUWAHATI, May 25 - The Purvottar Marwari Sammelan has congratulated Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on his assumption of office, and expressed hope that the new Chief Minister would, under his dynamic leadership, take the State along the path of development and peace.
In a statement, Sammelan public relations officer Bikash Gupta said that the people of the State had given the BJP alliance a decisive mandate and the new government should honour the trust reposed by the masses by accelerating the State�s development process and resolving all the long-pending issues such as flood and erosion, lack of infrastructure, illegal migration, unemployment, etc.
Meanwhile, the Manipuri National Council (MNC) has congratulated the BJP-led alliance on its victory in the Assam Assembly polls and said the mandate reflects the aspirations of the overall change expressed by the indigenous communities of the State.
�MNC is confident that under the leadership of Sarbananda Sonowal the BJP-led alliance of Assam and Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA at the Centre would definitely address the key issues pertaining to sustainable multi-layer development by implementing its Vision Document 2016-2015 in letter and spirit,� it said in a statement.
