GUWAHATI, Aug 21 - Several political figures and members of other organisations of the State joined the BJP at a programme held at the ruling party�s state head office at Hengrabari here today.
Among those who came into the BJP fold today were general secretary of Asom Gorkha Sanmilan Basudev Upadhyay, former president of All Assam Sarania Kachari Students� Union Ramesh Chandra Das, general secretary of BPF Dihira Chandicharan Haloi and central executive committee member of BPF Shukadev Dutta.
They joined the ruling party in the presence of State BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass.
