Manuram Baruah passes away

JORHAT, Oct 2 - Former editor of Saptahik Janambhumi and a senior journalist Manuram Baruah breathed his last due to prolonged illness in the wee hours today at his Itakhuli Garamur residence here. He was 78.

Baruah leaves behind his wife, a son and a daughter. He was one of the scribes to be selected for the State Government�s pension scheme for journalists announced recently by the Government.

Several organisations, including the Jorhat Press Club mourned his demise.
