GUWAHATI, Nov 25 - Manthan Kashyap Datta of Assam secured gold medal in second board in the 65th National School Games Chess held in Kolkata.

Playing in the second board for Assam, Manthan won 4 games while drew two games and remained unbeaten.

Out of 6 rounds Manthan secured 5 points.

Shahil Dey, Dhrupad Kashyap Nihad Islam Hazrika and Achitanga Kashyap were to her members of the team.

The Assam U-17 boys team got 10th�position while girls team got 9th�position.

Assam participated in both boys and girls category of the event. Sujaul Islam Hazarika was the manager of the team.
