Manoj Tiwari woos voters in Cachar tea gardens

Silchar, March 18: The tea garden population has always been a prime focus for political parties during elections.

Ahead of the second phase of the Assembly elections in the state on April 1, the Bharatiya Janata Party has accelerated its campaign trial. On Wednesday, BJP MP from North East Delhi and popular actor Manoj Tiwari was the seen amidst people in three tea gardens of Cachar district.

In his usual Bhojpuri flamboyance, the Member of Parliament urged the voters appealing for BJP candidates Mihir Kanti Shome in Udharbondh constituency and Kaushik Rai in Lakhipur constituency.

During the rallies, Tiwari was seen singing the lines of popular Bhojpuri songs Jiya Ho Bihar Ke Lala Jiya tu hajar sal and Phagun Mein Bhauji Bawal kaile ba thereby wooed the people to vote for the candidates.

Tiwari said " the pace of development must be continued and once voted to power again, the BJP candidates shall keep their promise to work for the overall development of the people, especially in tea gardens."
