IMPHAL, Nov 15 - Manipur�s archer Suchitra Tourangbam was awarded National Child Award for Exceptional Achievement, 2015 for her excellence in the field of sports. Fourteen year old Suchitra who was born on February 9,200l had participated in the 7th Mini National Archery Championship held at Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. She was the individual champion in the Indian round event.
The President of India Pranab Mukherjee presented the National Child Awards for Exceptional Achievement 2015 to give recognition to children with exceptional abilities and outstanding achievement in various fields, Rajiv Gandhi Manav Seva Awards 2015 to individuals for their outstanding contribution towards service for children and National Awards for Child Welfare 2014 to institutions and individuals for their outstanding performance in the field of child development and welfare on the occasion of the Children�s Day, on Saturday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
