IMPHAL, Dec 14 - With 152 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, the total number of recovered Covid-19 cases in Manipur reached 24,739 on Monday, officials said. Manipur�s recovery rate rose to 90.92%.
The newly-recovered patients are from 10 Covid care facilities, including 95 from home isolation facilities, Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, Additional Director and spokesperson of the state Health Department said in a press release on Monday.
Out of 24,739 recovered cases, 21,647 are from the general population, while the remaining 3,092 are Central security personnel.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 53 persons, including 22 females from the general population and 1 from the Central armed police force were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases.
The new COVID-19 cases were confirmed at 15 testing facilities in the state.The new cases from the general population are from Imphal West (176), Imphal East (14),Thoubal (5), Bishnupur (1), Kakching (1), Ukhrul (4),Tamenglong (7), Churachandpur (2) and Chandel (2), it added.
