IMPHAL, Nov 22 - The Social Welfare Department of Manipur has published the draft of the State Policy for Children, 2020.
The Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Social Welfare Department recently issued a notification in this regard.
The policy has been drafted by the Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights after a series of consultations with different stakeholders, including Child Rights & You (CRY) and concerned departments. A core committee examined the draft policy before its publication.
The draft policy was published for perusal by all those likely to be affected by it and a notice has been issued that the draft policy would be taken into consideration after the expiry of 15 days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette in which the notification was published are made available to the public.
Any objections and suggestions can be addressed to the Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Social Welfare, Government of Manipur or may be emailed to [email protected], it said.
The objections and suggestions received before the deadline will be considered by the State Government. The draft policy will be made available in the Manipur Government�s website manipur.gov.in, it added.
