Manipur to host adventure tourism event

IMPHAL, Nov 7 - Indian Tourism and Hospitality Congress (ITHC) is association with Manipur Mountaineering Institute (MMI) is organising 9th International Adventure Tourism Events/Conference of Indian Tourism and Hospitality Congress (ITHC) 2015 at the Manipur Mountaineering Institute, Lamdan, from December 27 to 30.

This was informed by the president of ITCH North East Division, Dr Meinam Binota, in a press conference held at Manipur Press Club on Saturday. She added that the theme of the conference would be Adventure Tourism and Ecotourism: Regional Perspectives in India.

The main events of the programme include stay in tent houses, three days on the mountain and adventure activities at Loktak Lake and Thangjing hill range, she said.

�Manipur has enough potential in community tourism, war tourism and other adventure tourism. With this conference, we can showcase all the potential that we have,� she said, adding, �We can explore the war tourism of World War-II like Germany does.�
