IMPHAL, April 24 � The first-ever full-fledged AYUSH hospital will be inaugurated at Lamphelpat here next week. This was disclosed by Director AYUSH Dr K Lokendro Singh on the sidelines of the four-day Manipur State Arogya Fair 2015 which was inaugurated here today.
�The construction of the building as well as fitting of other equipments of the integrated 50-bedded hospital have already been completed. The hospital will provide various kinds of natural treatments besides yoga sessions, etc�, he added.
Manipur�s AYUSH hospital could be the second such hospital in the Northeastern region after Shillong, according to Dr BR Bharali of North East Indian Ayurveda Research Institute, Guwahati, who was attending the ongoing Arogya Fair which concludes on April 27.
Regarding the report of , AYUSH Director informed that the department has distributed 11 lakh arsenic album doses in the past few months to control swine flu in the State.
The inaugural session of the Arogya Fair was attended by State Health Minister Phungzathang Tonsing, President of Homeopathic Medical Association Manipur and former Minister Dr M Nara Singh,State Health director Dr O Ibomcha Singh and Director Family welfare Dr K Rajo Singh.
