IMPHAL, July 30 � The Manipur junior boy�s and girl�s teams have bagged the winner�s title in the team events of the National Sepak Takraw Championship which was held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium in Imphal. Manipur defeated Delhi (15-10, 15-13, 15-13, 15-7) in the final match of junior boy�s event while Manipur defeated Nagaland (13-15, 15-11, 15-10, 15-8, 15-12) to emerge champions in the junior girl�s event.
SAI DG visits Imphal: The Director General, Sports of Authority of India, Jiji Thomson, who is on a two-day visit to the State, called on Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh here today. The meeting of Thomson and the Chief Minister was attended by Youth Affairs and Sports Department Commissioner RK Nimai Singh. During his Imphal sojourn, the DG inspected the ongoing sports infrastructure development projects at different SAI centres in the State.
