IMPHAL, Nov 17 - With 233 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, the COVID-19 tally in Manipur reached 19,065 today, officials said. The recovery rate in the State now stands at 85.84 per cent.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, a 53-year-old man from the Imphal East district expired at Raj Medicity. The cumulative number of deaths in the State has touched 225.
The recovered patients were released from 14 COVID care facilities, including 91 from home isolation facilities, the COVID-19 common control room here stated. Out of the 19,065 recovered cases, 14,681 are from the general population and the remaining 2,578 are Central security personnel.
Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 178 civilians and four personnel from the Central Armed Police Forces have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. The new cases were detected in 25 testing facilities in the State.
The new cases among civilians are from Imphal West, Imphal East, Thoubal, Kangpokpi, Bishnupur, Kakching, Ukhrul, Tamenglong, Tengnoupal, Churachandpur, Chandel, Noney, Jiribam and Senapati.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 22,208, while the active cases stand at 2,918.
