IMPHAL, Nov 6 - Manipur today recorded discharge of 342 COVID-19 patients � the second highest single-day recoveries. The recovery rate in the State now stands at 80.90 percent. On October 31, 1,057 persons had recovered from the infection.
Meanwhile, two persons � a 47-year-old male from Imphal West and an 86-year-old male from Imphal West � expired at the RIMS Hospital. The cumulative number of virus deaths in the State has now reached 191.
Besides, 159 civilians (including 74 females) and seven Central Armed Police Forces personnel have been confirmed positive in the past 24 hours. The new cases were confirmed at 23 testing facilities in the State.
As of Friday, 4,39,324 people have been screened at various entry points into the State, while 3,66,212 individuals have been tested for the disease, said officials.
