Manipur plan for AIFF academy

IMPHAL, Dec 1 - Manipur�s Youth Affairs and Sports Department is planning for an AIFF (All India Football Federation) accredited academy in the State.

Informing this, Director T Phulen Meitei of Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) in a press release said that the Director YAS is in constant touch with AIFF technical committee to start the Academy. Stating that Manipur has contributed over 40 players in the ongoing ISL and it shows the dominance of the State in the discipline of football. The release further stated that Manipur is the only State in India which has two I-League teams-TRAU FC and NEROCA FC.
