IMPHAL, Jan 30 - After announcing precautionary steps against coronavirus, the State Health Department has alerted officials to take urgent action to meet medical emergencies within their jurisdiction.
In a memorandum, the Director of Health and Family Welfare K Rajo Singh alerted all the chief medical officers, medical superintendents and controlling officers to take urgent action to disseminate information to all concerned and keep mobile teams on standby to meet medical emergencies.
Further, doctors, nurses and other support staff under the Health and Family Welfare Department will remain alert in their respective stations with immediate effect and till further notice, a memorandum stated. Unauthorised absence of any employee from station will be strictly dealt with as per rules, it added.
