IMPHAL, Sept 9 - Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh flagged off a nine-day conducted press tour to Yangon, Myanmar, here today. The tour has been organised by State Department of Information & Public Relations.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that such press tour will strengthen the relationship between India and Myanmar.

Earlier, journalists from Myanmar had visited Manipur and interacted with the media fraternity and others, he added.

The 20-member team of media persons is led by director IPR H Balkrisna Singh. The team will reach Moreh today and will go to Mandalay overnight. Besides meeting the press fraternity in Yangon, they will call on the Consulate General of India to Myanmar and also interact with the Manipuri diaspora in Myanmar.
