IMPHAL, July 1 � The eighth session of the 9th Manipur State Legislative Assembly, which will have 16 sittings, will commence from July 7.
Official sources here said that allocation of time for the businesses of the house to be transacted during the proposed session of the Assembly was recommended following a sitting of the Business Advisory Committee held on June 26.
The session will start with presentation of Budget Estimates, 2010-2011 on the first day of the sitting on July 7 and there will be general discussion on Budget Estimate, 2010-11 on July 8 and 9 and one private member business on July 9.
The recent Business Advisory Committee meeting of the State Assembly also recommended initiation of discussion and voting on Demand for Grants, 2010-11 from July 12 till July 28.
Besides there will be introductions of Manipur Municipality Community Participation Bill, 2010, Salaries of Ministers and MLAs Bill and Electricity Bill, 2007 on July 26.
