IMPHAL, Dec 18 - The winter session of Manipur Assembly began here today with the adoption of a resolution on the demise of former State Governors VK Nayar and Dr Syed Ahmed during obituary references.
Former Governor Lt General VK Nair (Retd) expired on December 2 this year in New Delhi while Governor Dr Syed Ahmed passed away on September 27 this year in a Mumbai hospital.
Later Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh introduced the Manipur Municipalities (Ninth Amendment) Bill, 2015, in the Assembly. Other bills introduced in the House include Manipur Participatory Irrigation Water Users� Bill, 2015 and Manipur Motor Vehicle Taxation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015.
