IMPHAL, March 4 - The indefinite bandh on Imphal-Moreh section of National Highway 102 in Manipur has been called off with immediate effect today following an understanding with the State Government.
The bandh was imposed by Joint Action Committee (JAC) formed against the alleged murder of Thongkhogin Haokip, a teacher of Molnom high school in Chandel district, on the busy route connecting Myanmar, in protest against the State Government�s failure to book the culprits involved in the murder.
The decision to call off the bandh was taken in a joint meeting between representatives of JAC and State Government at H Kotlenphai village today, according to JAC sources.
