IMPHAL, Jan 5 � Manipur rock band The Dirty Strikes� guitarist committed suicide by hanging on Sunday afternoon.
The band, which was formed by a bunch of college-going youths, completed five years on January 3.
The band members were shocked by the news of founding member and guitarist Bom Leimapokpam, 24, committing suicide in his Keishampat Jailor Leirak residence here, sources said.
The band, which last performed at the Vans New Wave Asia Musicfest in Goa in November, were gearing up for a performance in Manipur on January 17.
Bom is the youngest among four siblings. His father arrived here today after a health check up outside the State.
