DERGAON, May 7 � Manipur have entered the semifinal of the 20th Senior Women�s National Football Championship. In a Group A league match played at Bokakhat playground in the afternoon today, Manipur outplayed favorites Railways 4-0.
In the match, Manipur�s MG Bala Devi scored the first goal. After that MG Bala Devi scored the second goal while Grace Bengmey and O Bembem Devi scored one goal each. Now, Manipur will take on the Group C champion Delhi in the semifinal to be played on May 11. With today�s victory Manipur have won all the five matches played and topped Group A with 15 points.
In the other match, Maharastra defeated Uttar Pradesh 10-0. In the third match, Madhya Pradesh defeated Chattisgarh 3-0.
Railways won four matches out of five with 12 points in their kitty. In the other semi- final, Group D champion Jharkhand will take Group B champion Odisha at Golaghat stadium on May 11.
At Chabua:In the last match played at Chabua, where Group B matches were organised, Odisha beat Goa 3-0 yesterday. Subha Prava, Maneka Malik and Pyari Xaxa scored one goal each for the winning team.
