Manipur COVID-19 tally stands at 1,891

IMPHAL, July 18 - With 91 new cases of COVID-19, Manipur�s virus tally surged to 1,891 today. The total active cases stand at 709.

The newly confirmed cases belong to Imphal West, Bishnupur, Kangpokpi, Kamjong, Tamenglong, Thoubal and Ukhrul districts, according to a press release. They are being shifted to COVID care facilities, the release added.

In the past 24 hours, 19 persons have been discharged from the COVID care centres at Meitram, Thoubal and Kamjong and the COVID care facilities of the RIMS and the JNIMS after they were found negative on RT PCR tests.

The total number of recovered cases is 1,182, with the recovery rate being 62.50 per cent. Out of 91 new cases of COVID-19, 63 are personnel of the CRPF training centre, Kangpokpi, and three infected persons from Imphal West district are Army personnel from the Leimakhong Garrison.
