Manipur Congress submits memorandum to PM on Naga final agreement

IMPHAL, Oct 29: A delegation of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC-I) yesterday submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister through the Governor on the issue of the final agreement arising out of the framework agreement with the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-IM and the NNPG (Naga National Political Groups).

The Congress delegation led by newly appointed president Moirangthem Okendra of MPCC-I and Congress legislature party leader and former chief minister O Ibobi Singh submitted the memorandum to Governor Dr Najma Heptulla at Raj Bhavan here yesterday morning.

Congress working committee member and MLA Gaikhangam and other Congress leaders were also present.

“During our meeting, we’ve submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister (through the Governor),” Congress legislature party leader and former chief minister Singh told the reporters at the gate of Raj Bhavan after the meeting. “The Governor also assured that she will communicate with the Central leader," he added.
