IMPHAL, April 18 - In a new political development, one more Congress MLA Ginsuanhau has defected to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Earlier, Th Shyamkumar, who was elected from Andro constituency, defected to the BJP, even before the newly elected MLAs of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly were sworn in to the Cabinet in the coalition government in the State.
Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh and State BJP president K Bhabananda, party ministers and leaders welcomed Ginsuanhau, a sitting Congress MLA from Singhat constituency in Manipur�s Churachandpur district, during a brief reception gathering at the party office here on Monday evening.
Apart from MLA Ginsuanhau, 14 Members of the Chandel Autonomous District Council, including its Chairman have also joined the BJP in yesterday�s gathering.
