IMPHAL, April 8 - Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh today released a music video titled Akiba Laanda Amani (A Fearful Battle) on novel coronavirus awareness here. Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar Singh, ministers L Jayentakumar and K Shyam, and MLA L Susindro attended the video release function.
The Chief Minister praised the efforts of the music fraternity and other sections of the society in generating awareness on novel coronavirus in the State.
The music video highlights the government advisory on COVID-19 and conveys messages like �stay home, stay safe�, �wash hands regularly�, �maintain social distancing�, etc., lyricist Narendra Ningomba said.
Meanwhile,the State�s first COVID-19 patient, who has now tested negative after treatment at the JNIMS, a government hospital, is still under observation, a senior Health official said. The condition of the second COVID-19 patient is also stated to be stable.
Four persons, including a woman who had returned from China, have also tested negative, an official source said. But the woman will stay at a quarantine centre. So far, 197 people have been tested in the State and 107 others are currently in government quarantine centres.
Lockdown violators detained: As part of the ongoing drive to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Manipur Police detained 292 lockdown violators and seized 141 vehicles, Additional Director General (L/O) of Police L Kailun stated in a press release on Wednesday. Police have appealed to the public to follow the guidelines issued by the Government and stay indoors.
