Manipur CM meets Rajnath Singh

IMPHAL, Jan 19 - Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Rajya Sabha MP K Bhabananda met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh at New Delhi on Thursday.

They discussed about sanctioning of additional IRB Battalions for Manipur, helicopter scheme, vacating Old Koirengei Airfield currently occupied by Territorial Army and introduction of a new Surrenderees� Rehabilitation Policy, according to official sources.

The Chief Minister and K Bhabananda, chief of Manipur BJP unit, requested Rajnath Singh to direct the Uttar Pradesh Government to hand over the case of Pravish Chanam�s death to CBI at the earliest.

Pravish ( 22), an engineering student from Manipur went missing from a concert in Noida in September last year and later was found dead under mysterious circumstances.

Biren Singh also met BJP National President Amit Shah and BJP National Secretary and North East in-charge Ram Madhav and discussed about the various ongoing developmental projects in the State.
