IMPHAL, July 24 - The first Manipur Open chess tournament will be held at Dharmalaya Social Welfare culture community hall at Nahabam in Manipur�s Imphal East district under the aegis of Manipur Chess Association (MCA) from July 29 to August 6.
The interested players from the North Eastern states are also invited to participate in the upcoming tourney as the organizer- MCA is going to provide free lodging, fooding and transportation to outstation players, according to Secretary Th Nabachandra Singh of MCA. The first, second, third, fourth and fifth prizes of the tourney are Rs 50,000, Rs 40,000, Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively.
