GUWAHATI, March 18 - Manipur men and West Bengal women emerged champions in the 23rd East Zone Handball Championship which concluded at Belsor, Nalbari last evening.
In the finals, Manipur defeated Jharkhand while West Bengal got the better of Manipur.
Sports organiser Bishnu Ram Nunisa was the chief guest in the closing function. Other guests present during the occasion were Abhijit Rabha, Amal Narayan Patowary, Lohit Gogoi, Uday Bhuyan, among others.
