Mangaldai MP to raise BTAD issue in Parliament

UDALGURI, July 13 � Ramen Deka, who is a two-time BJP sitting MP from 8 Mangaldai HPC, today said that he was well aware of the grim lawlessness unleashed by the NDFB(S) in the BTAD region and held the State Government responsible for the unabated killing of general people in the region in recent times and assured that he would raise the issue in Parliament.

Talking to this correspondent today at Udalguri town, Deka said that he would take up the matter in all its seriousness with the Union Home Minister and State Home Minister, besides assuring to raise the matter in the forthcoming Parliament session. He said he would demand a special force to combat the terrorist activities in the region.

Deka was here today to receive the felicitation conferred on him by the Udalguri district committee of BJP and several other social organisations of Udalguri district here at the Bishnu Rabha Kristi Sangha premises which was presided over by Sarat Basumatary, president of Udalguri district committee of BJP.

In his speech, Deka outlined a good number of schemes already implemented in the district, which included PMGSY road connectivity, pure drinking water, NREGA, and railway connectivity, besides new schemes for the days to come. He complimented the people of the district for electing him to the portal of power once again and appealed to all to have full faith in the Modi Government.
