Manchasurjya Dharani Barman remembered

TIHU, Jan 30 - The first death anniversary of Sangeet Natak Akademi award winner Manchasurjya Dharani Barman was observed at Chamata under the aegis of Paschim Nalbari Press Club with a day-long programme. In the morning, the ceremonial lamp was lit before the portrait of Dharani Barman by Ramani Barman, president, Paschim Nalbari Press Club.

Jibeswar Deka, Jadab Sen Deka, Dhrubajyoti Sarma and Nabarata Patgiri spoke about the contributions of Dharani Barman towards theatre movement in the memorial meeting held on the occasion. The meeting was chaired by senior journalist Ramani Barman.
