GUWAHATI, March 10 - The annual management festival �QUASIOFIESTA� organised by the Gauhati Commerce College Centre of Management Studies and BBA Department of Gauhati Commerce College was celebrated today on the college premises.
Saumen Das was the chief guest of the opening ceremony. The Principal Dr Homeswar Kalita lauded the efforts of the students for providing a platform to showcase their managerial skills.
Dr Sunil Kumar Saikia, Director, GCC Centre of Management Studies mentioned that the event was for students of all fields and not confined to management students only. He hoped that the event would prove helpful in development of personality, leadership skills and communication skills.
Soumen Das, director of T.I.M.E, Chandmari, discussed the opportunities available in the North East and asked the students to harness these opportunities. The commerce minds contribute a lot to the economic development of the country, he said. He also discussed why the North East is a good destination for the service sector and social entrepreneurship.
The festival included certain managerial events including the Business Quiz hosted by Kumar Shivam, Share Market by Shekhar Batra, Collage Making by Arup Barooah and Treasure Hunt by Hrishiraj Talukdar and Prashal Sharma along with Mad Ads hosted by RJ Riaz.
