GUWAHATI, June 9 - Jatin Dhekial Phukan, an assistant engineer of the Assam State Electricity Board, was today �shot at� by unidentified miscreants around 10.45 am in the Kahilipara area.
After being hit by a bullet, Phukan rushed to the GMCH on his own on his motorbike, where he was admitted.
Although the police claimed it to be a stray bullet, the source of the same is being investigated.
Some say that it could have originated from the Assam Police battalion campus located at Kahilipara although the police have denied it.
